Thanks for the response!

I dont want to buy it though to test it against my current intake though. It isnt worth another $270 to see if it gets 1 or 2 more horsepower.

However i do agree that the construction seems great and im sure its a great product

i think non-oiled just means a no oil required filter, the oiled filter requires oiling every so many miles but provides slightly better filtration

Hello SlowV6,

The (NON-Oiled) system comes with a 2 layer fully synthetic air filter that does not require Oil, it does not mean the filter comes bare and you have to Oil it.

Hello Schram1,

The AIRAID will make just as much HP & TQ as this system with a TUNE!

You are clearly not comparing apples to apples. We are advertising a system and the power numbers from a system that does not require tuning, and you posted a video of a dyno run with the Intake and Tune installed

On top of the fact that the AIRAID will produce just as much with a Tune, the Overall Quality of Components, Fit & Finish, and Warranty of the AIRAID are 2nd to none!

Thanks,
David

Shram... why you gotta troll one of the few vendors offering products for the 3.7L?

It's been said and bears repeating that they do not reflect scientific rigor to prove their numbers. One run and done? What about showing results from up to 5 tests with varying conditions such as ambient atmosphere and humidity? Not refelected, those videos might as well come out and put it pike it is - many if those CAis product the same power gains, and the most quantifiable difference lies in component quality.

On that note I haven't felt, examined or tested any of the CAIs. I would love a company to prove their claims of quality with a torch, sand blaster, and hammer...

i lol'd

but on a side note, i feel as if schram1 is out trying to prove that jlt is best so as to justify he has the best CAI, cuz thats the one he has.

2 tq difference is kinda like meh, could be temp dif, humidity, etc
all the aftermarket CAIs get pretty much the same gain once tuned,
its customer service and quality you should be looking at

Hello konastangpete,

You are 100% Correct, not too mention once you take into consideration the +/- 3% Accuracy of the Dyno, "2ft-lbs of torque" means absolutely nothing.
