So how FAST are the new camaros supposed to be?

Yeah yeah, everyone keeps saying 'OMG the v6 will have 300 hp like a GT and the z28 will have this much etc'. But has chevy released any estimated 0-60 or 1/4 times? How about transmissions, gearing, or weight? just curious

since when are they going to make a Z/28. never heard of them doing this. they will only make a V6 with 300 or so hp and a SS with around 400-475hp

SS 0-60 should be around 5.4
V6 0-60 should be around 6.7

the camaro will have like 433hp or something close to that...high 12 second car in stock form...the v6 will not compete with your GT! theyre way to heavy, probably a weak gear ratio, and the IRS isnt the best for off the lie performance. The SS will have some crazy top end speed i bet.

These new gen cars are all too heavy. The engines have massive displacement, but in response to that I'd say.. so does a tank. I'm not just talking about the mare here, I'm also referring to the charger and the challenger. I'd take a mustang anyday just because of the weight and torque issue.

Yep, they all weigh over 4,000 lbs. They need 400+hp.

if gm was smart they wont make the piece of shit imo it looks like crap no where near the old school styles and i have owned a 92 camaro rs and a 99 z28 everytime i turned around something was wrong granted they were beautiful cars but shit not worth the typical everyday problems

yeah buts its called the L99 i think...i think they made a couple changes for the camaro.

hmmm...yea you're probably right similar to how the did the LS1 f body and ls1 corvette, but the vette was rated at 50 extra HP, although that was just due to a slight change in cam, and true duel exhaust as opposed to a Y pipe on the f body cars

ive heard that before, but im not a chevy fan (thats why im here

i'm not sure about the tune on them, i mean it was obviously a lil different from Y pipe to true duels, but as far as more aggressive as far as timing and what not...i'm honestly not 100% sure i have a few close friends that have LS1's i'll ask them.

Ya, but the SS should compete with the 08 GT mustang and the 08 R/T Challenger.

But the 2010 Mustang should compete with the SRT-8 challenger and should smoke the SS Camaro.

i mean they haven't even given a definitive answer on a motor yet. there has been so many different talks.... a N/A 5.4L, Push Rod 5.0L, S/C DOHC 4.6L, TT V6, soo how ya get that the new mustang will smoke the camaro??
