Ya cop cars can be very fast, but i know for a fact that a mustang can outrun them. At least around here. B/c i was surrounded by three cops one night at a gas station b/c a black mustang had been stolen and they outran the cops. Therefor the cops thought i was him, idiots.

as far as the chargers go.. theres a couple different types.. the 3.5 v6.. not too much to worry about considering chargers are heavy and it only puts out 250hp.. the 5.7l hemi with 340 horses that you need to worry about lol

i've been searching around online for an answer to this question. since most of you guys seem to know about cops/cars i figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here.

what kind of information can they get from their laptops in the car? can they look up info. on you by using a phone number?

With your plate number they can practically find out what you had for breakfast. Some of it depends on if you have a prior record or not. The more history you have with the police, the more they will know about you.

It might not be an actual difference in the hard parts as much as maybe a computer adjustment.. Also suspension is different, cooling system stuff like that so the car can withstand extended abuse.. Long idling times stuff like that..

I personally wanna know a little more about the Impala SS. Can you guys tell me about them. And what kind of cop car would be the best to turn into a sleeper without you know really doing any major mods just a few bolt ons?

actually.

my 92 caprice 9C1 was quite a sleeper before i did my full customization on it.. i bought it with an LT1 & about 100,000 miles & it was decently quick outta the box... i swapped rear end gears to 3:73's, rebuilt the engine into a 383 stroker, freshened up the trans & installed a shift kit & it was a definate sleeper considering i was spanking most stock mustangs/ricers/& some older muscle cars... i ran consistant 9.4's in the 1/8 on street tires... it was really quick for a land yacht & it looked like shit, the old dog dish wheels, spotlight, crappy white paint... it was definately a good sleeper car, i would reccomend buying a 92-96 9C1 caprice to build into a sleeper.. good cars...

now my caprice never sees any racing although she is still really qucik, i baby it because i've done a lot of body work & have 20's & all that stuff on it... but when needed she'll get up & move still!!

&& a lot of the newer cop cars are the new impala SS essentially.. they have the V-8s in them again.. i've seen plenty of them cruising the streets here in charleston..

A couple of Christmas' ago I went home for leave to my hometown in Trenton, MI, and saw a completely blacked out 2005 Mustang GT with hidden police lights in the rear window... the thing looked SICK!!!

It was from the Riverview Police Department, and had some kindof dark gray lettering on the side saying "Gorno Ford" or something similiar... I think the dealership might have either donated it or given them a really good deal on it. Either way it was incredible!
