Any know where to get flip down plates? Like for the rear of the car? I've looked online for these years ago and I found a place that had them for the rear bumper, I bookmarked the page but since then have lost it do to the PC crashing, all I can find now is the front one that flips under the bumper.

It's a license plate bracket the folds down so if you blow a toll or don't want someone to see your license plate, it flips down.

So it's remote-operated from inside the car I take it?

Yeah it's got an electric motor that folds the plate down, and theres one that works on vacuum, that one I don't know about, I'll take the electric one wired up to a switch. Good option for tolls lol..

Noooo no mythbusters lol I know a guy that made his own thing were the plate folded down it was two small hinges on a license plate frame, plate bolted to the frame and it was somehow attached to a power antenna that would push the plate down, and when he hit the button it would pull the plate back up...you had to see it. So anyway I've always wanted to get a set up like that, so I Googled it a long time ago and found a company that made the motorized ones, but I never got it, thinking that one day I would, but it never happened, and now that I want it again I had a hard time finding it.

Haha I saw the mythbusters where he did it... it was the episode where they were recording car speeds using the license plate camera.

autoloc makes a motorized kit for hideaway plates... when my old boss & i did his caprice we put one on that would fold down from underneath when the car was started & when we turn it off it folds back up... pretty cool..

i would want one like the james bond auston martin in gold finger, where it has revolving licence plates, that would be a little more usefull in my opinion.
