My Toyota Beater

so im driving my beater to work this morning (94 toyota 22re) and all of the sudden the motor gets super loud while crusing down the interstate, like i was running open header (inline 4), and didn't feel like i had any backpressure.... so i pull off the interstate and pop the hood and look around. so i find that after the exhaust manifold at a collector the pipe straight rusted and snapped open. talk about a loud ride back to toyota parts, probably had a little bit of fire shooting out too, quite nice.

It would probably be a good idea to ride with the windows at least cracked all the time then because you could end up suffering carbon monoxide poisoning that way.

well the shifter kept popping out of gear and was hard as hell to put into gear without grinding... so today i replaced the shifter bushing, and seat... the seat was decentagrated and was the culprit.... oh well 12bucks aint bad.

guess i need to replace the catback since the end of the exhaust rusted off and the muffler has some holes in it, looks like the oem replacement is about $100, and the proformance kit is $280... will probably just get the cheaper oem Bosal cat-back
