Hell if FIAT buys GM...I'm seriously thinking the new owners may revamp the new Camaro's and yes, there has been recalls but that happens when you have a new model. Plus I think GM tried to rush these babies out as quick as they could.

Have you seen the god awful interiors??? Holy crap man...they suck. Great looking car exterior wise. But according to Car n Driver and there's a thread on here that has the video of their comparisions, they loved Mustang. Tested against the SS

I must agree with 1slo5.0 on this one, ford has been in 2nd/3rd place for years now when in competition with chevy... 03cobra< c5 zo6, 03gt < 02SS it's the truth and unfortunately with the release of the c6 zo6, I'm sorry but Ford has to get to the drawing board and fast.... But I will say, atleast Ford isn't in need of a "Bridge Loan" LMAO

You do know the hennessey package camaro ran an 11.6@120+ right? So unless you haven't updated your times under your avie you probably aren't handing it much. Also, hennessey has a ls9 powered camaro coming out. 700+ hp but with a six figure price tag.

those are old times in my avie, I just haven't been back to the track since my recent changes.
All I've addind since than was 3.2 pulley showing 9.7 lbs. boost and 60 lb. injectors.

Are you kidding? Transformers came out in 07!... As far a I am concerned the "new" Camaro is old news, People have been seeing it for at least two years. IMO, GM really messed up. I would like to see the board meeting: "ok guys, I have a great idea. Lets take our only cool car and have it star in a blockbuster movie, but wait until the hype has worn down and ship them to the dealerships when the sequel comes out..."

-and I like the interiors... what do you think about the 2010 mustang interior?

With the new power you are making and the suspension mods than you should be able to pull one. I'm assuming your 60' times are sub 1.7 and that's where you would kill the Hennessey 550 Camaro. Still though, you might be in for a surprise if you run into one on the highway (which would probably never happen-but still).

The kit includes a custom cam, bolt-ons, and supporting mods (plugs, wires, etc) and makes 505 to the rear wheels!!! 500+ N/A power with just a bigger cam and supporting mods (stock heads) is very impressive to me.

It's only a matter of time before the aftermarket has a solid axle swap that will shave weight and 60' times and guys start running smaller wheels with bigger rubber. Than the impressive times will start to show up.

I agree with what your saying, they are some impressive cars and are responding well to mods.
The biggest thing holding them back IMO is the IRS, while 1.7's are decent 60' times they will need better than that to compete when it comes to FI.

AS far as Hennessey goes with their reputation I would have to see a boost gauge before I believe it was only 6 lbs. boost. sorry but I don't trust them at all.
I believe in a street race MPH would come out on top, I believe I can trap now at 120+ so that would be intresting.

I know exactly what you meen with Hennessey and I agree.

And after reading your post I found a few different rwhp estimate calculators and the car is actually most likely making about 7# peak to hit that 530rwhp mark, but still that's not bad (I assume that the power of the car with just the exhaust, intak, and tune would be ~360 because that seems to be the average that most people are getting so far)

So lets get this straight, a corvette, which is a awesome car that most of us cant afford or really justify owning, a camaro which runs 13s and financially broke! and somehow you think ford needs to go to the drawing board.

So gm has a camaro in 2000 that is faster then a mustang and cost more then a mustang. It wasnt selling and loosing money. But it had more HP so that was a winning formula. ford was stupid the mustang has a weak engine, but the mustang was/is always has been profitable and a big seller. Chevy, instead of revamping, realizing the mistake, chaging the camaro to appeal to a larger market and making it more affordable, scraps it............ then spends 3 years talking about bringing it back, its fuck up when it gets here, becuase they were rushed??? the car still cost more then a mustang. And now they are broke.


Sorry guys, GM couldnt have screwed up camaros more if they tried over the course of that cars history. The vette is a awesome car, but its a loss leader and how many loss leaders can you afford. The did do huge imporvements with the GM pick up trucks in the recent decade ill give them that. The tahoe's were nice and the sub's. But they fucked up on cars so bad is criminal.
