waiting on a new set of main bearings so we can get the 408 stroker back from the machine shop, test fit the new radiator and electric fan, got the custom audio system back in, new mopar starter

pulled the motor tonight, should be at the machine shop tomorrow; closer look also yeilded coolant leaking from two exhaust bolt holes, and must be a head gasket too.... anyways that is all for the machine shop to sort out, they gotta buy all new gaskets and those cometic's aren't cheap :/

Damn hope you guys get it worked out soon...So what is the trucks purpose going to be? Street Truck or Strip?

nothing like waiting almost 6months for a machine shop to do their magic and assemble the longblock to have to take it back, but shit happens...

the truck is basically for the strip, might see the ocassional street run... i mean it is tagged, inspected and stickered :-P

Sounds like it could be pretty nice. So far I haven't managed to go beyond the HU, front speakers, and amp. Hopefully I'll be able to add a sub before too long.

well hopefully the machine shop will have it back to us by thanksgiven... we were talking the other day about getting a spare block from a guy we know that is parting one out to take all the old parts from the build and slap it together to stuff into a lifted jeep for his sister.

well long story short already blew threw two sets of cometic head gaskets $$, but finially sealled up the water jackets with hylamar and they are holding nice. ffinially got some cam breakin, re-torqued top end...

now just waiting on the mail order tune from krc, since nobody around here could tune it and SCT is only offering handhelds... ended up basically getting a reflashed mopar performance pcm mail order tuned... feels pretty nice and is intensely loud. need to get it up on the dyno and monitor the a/f
