the rest of the exhaust is in, still waiting on krcperformance to send the torque converter and the shiftkit, also still waiting on summit to send the right m1 intake manifold for efi setup, and the studs for the crane rockers. but did get the pushrods, rockers, msd 6al, msd coil, msd wires, gaskets, comp cam w/custom grind, valve covers... will atleast try to get most of the longblock put back together this weekend.

spintech - www.spintechmufflers.com

their website is not the best, they are a smaller buisness but give them a call, the headers are ceramic coated, let me know if you have any questions.

right now we are waiting on the 408 stroker assembly and a new set of r/t fully worked heads and main girdle to show up from hughesengines.com (not the same as Hughes Proformance)

since we are doing a complete rebuild we have not yet installed it, but if im not mistaken they are bench tested before coating at spintech. the full exhaust came from spintech, headers and all. I will have to check with my buddy to the actuall cost, but I believe the full system comes with cometic gaskets, ceramic coated long tube headers, port plates, high flow catted down pipes, x-pipe, mufflers, chrome tips, and some hardware. I think they sell two setups and his is the "race" setup.

i have a collection of a lot of the tear down and some of the new parts pictures (117) in my photobucket album which you may find interesting

my friend has this picture I took as his back drop on his computer desktop,

Just spoke w/my friend, he said he paid about $1700 including shipping for the 2.5 x-pipe setup and 3 inch out the exhaust, he said it is a little more for the full 3 inch setup so you are probably looking at 2k w/ceramic coating. he also said you might not even need the full 3 unless you are trying to make crazy power?

he also confirmed that it comes with all the ARP hardware to install the port plates and headers. because the port plates convert it from 2bolt holes to 3bolt holes, and the cometic custom gaskets are needed for this aswell, but it is all included. he said they offer a bunch of other options aswell but said give them a call they are easy to work with and pretty knowledgeable about whatever you wanted to know.

Hott..... i wanna see the end results. AND track times.... Step mom has a Black 99 R/T extended cab. Fun lil truck ( actually i think its a dog ) and i had to replaced the fuel cap and abs sensor for no instrument cluster. That took some time to diag. Then once i got the the Dodge dealership the dude told me its common.

Anywhoo.... nice ride. Would like to have sound clips as well as vid!!!

yeh the abs sensor went out on his too, another common problem is failure of the plenum gasket, so watch out for that one... we replaced his, and by the time we tore down the motor it was slightly leaking again.

b&m ratcheting shifter, summit battery relocation box, custom audio, msd 6al installed, re-worked wiring harness, relocated horns and washer pump and resivour, deleted battery tray, finially got the control arms back from the maching shop where we had to get the bushings replaced and installed.

the machine shop is almost done, just waiting to get the block and rotating assembly back!
