95 Thunderbird V8 problem
I need to know the location of my factory alarm. I dont have the remote for the car and i need to disconnect the alarm from the car.
Also if anyone knows this information, it would be greatly appreciated but not as important as above but, What different engines can i put in this if i decide to do a motor swap and/or how much would it be to rebuild the 4.6L i have in there now? Thanks in advance!

The alarm should be located under the dashboard, but you might wanna call a dealership and have them do it for you. But ive chopped out stock and aftermarket alarms with wirecutters before with little to no ill effects. But on my cadillac which is like 100% computer everything i took out the alarm one day and it wouldnt go off until i plugged the bastard back in lol. Horn was honking lights were flashing i disconnected the horn and tried driving around like that everyone thought it was an undercover cop car or something. If you go carberated you can put damn near any motor n tranny combination in there that you want to, its just a matter of fabricating the motor mounts.

Well, any mod motor shouldn't be too hard of a swap, so if you want something different, you could look at a later 2v 4.6, a Triton 5.4, a Triton V10 (I have seen one swapped into what was a v6 mustang, very cool), a 4v 4.6, or one of the new 3v 4.6s. I think the Navigators may have come with a 4v 5.4L, and, of course, there's always the terminator, or it's big bother out of the Ford GT. Ford also sells the 5.0 cammer motors either FI or carb'd.
Were I to go through the effort, I would probably try to find one of the Supercharged 5.4s from a Lightning, and do the motor and tranny. Barring that, either a 5.4 or one of the new 3v 4.6s. The nice thing about the 3v over the 4v for the swap is that the 3v heads are much smaller, and should fit a little easier. All depends on how much time and money you want to invest. If I had all the money in the world and really wanted a t-bird, it'd end up with the GT-500 motor, a built C6, and a lot of tire. But that's me.
