Taurus SHO.....just built one online....
$41,660.
The car mags said it is mid 13's in the 1/4 which means good driver probably low 13's and possibly 12 with work. But they are all wheel drive. Here is mine. And it is not even super fully loaded.Build and Price Discuss. |

Yea the link doesn't work. Eitherway I think it would be one hell of a daily driver and would love to own one. With the twin turbo engine something as simple as a chip could add some big horsepower just by adding more boost.

mods??? More boost. This isn't a performance car, its a Luxery/sporty car. Not a true "sports" car. I wouldn't pay that much for a damn car, unless I had the money, and then it would be a GT500. It would be fun to smoke people ass in one, but just wait, the Ecoboost is going to become ALOt more common. Ford plans to have something like 90% of their vehicles equiped with Ecoboost technology in the near future. It will become alot more availible and "easier to reach" for the average person. The v6 mustang is getting it as an option VERY soon.

I like the car, but not that much and you can get a SVT raptor or GT 500. But just looking to see the thoughts on the matter.

Adjustable pedals? Cooled seats? That's a luxury car, man. Damn, do they make aftermarket cooled seats for the Mustangs yet?

interesting stuff. Its got twin 49mm turbos (41mm turbine, 49mm impellars).........its a TRUE twin setup, and the turbos actually have coolant AND oil flowing inside them.

wierd wastegate setup on them too. It has two "wastegates" inside the exhaust that just limit the exhaust flow to the turbos, so no cool blow-off valve noises LOL

if the v6 mustang gets this engine it might have just as much power potential then the new 5.0, but for a fraction of the price.

it is capable of more than 400 hp, let me just say that. Wastegate arms are marked though so no tampering without Ford knowing. Too bad.

the SHO version has a "noise generator" on the air intake that makes the engine noise more "pleasing" to the customer LOL (simular to the GT mustang)

you guys are not comparing apples to apples, If your shopping for an SHO, you are looking at 535 BMW's, acuras and mid lever performance sedans not GT 500 and Raptors. This is a bad ass car for the money

Ever since I first heard about these I've wanted one. At this point it seems like it's the only other Ford I would ever buy besides a Mustang. IMO this is a big accomplishment for Ford to start making a great all around car like this.

I was thinking the same thing. It's about time a domestic car manufacturer started making decent non-sports cars like BMW, Audi, etc have been doing for years. I know a lot of eurosnobs that are interested in buying one of these cars. Of course they are saying 'It's not American.. it's Australian.. " *sigh*
Whatever makes them feel cool.
