Dodge - 2009 Viper - Photos and Videos

I'm not a Ford zealot, I like all kinds of cars and brands. Any performance car any company makes, I pretty much dig it. I'm easy going in that way. I've however always had a soft spot for three car types/brands.

1. Mustangs
2. Vipers
3. Porsches (Mostly 911s or variants of it)

Dad did own a 928 for 4-5 years. It was a nice car, but it was an ATX.

In order of affordability and likelihood of owning one. I've always knew I was going to eventually own a Mustang however. But the Vipers and Porsche are a little out of my range. I've driven a Viper once... when I was 20. Too young to really know how to drive a car properly. And it scared the crap out of me. This was back in the early 90s. Now GM has made the Vette look a lot like a Viper. GM's own little tests showed that people preferred the look of the Viper over the Vette. Instead of coming up with a new/better look, GM just stole the look of the Viper. They did the same thing with their HHR. Complete rip-off of the popularity of the PT. When the Neon came out with it's smooth lines and raised up back end look, so did the Cavalier and Sunflower. GM has no shame. They find a look that is popular, copy it, change it up a bit, and sell it as an original. Not in all cases, but in a lot. Too many. The Cobalt actually looks like a Civic now. The SS Cobalt is a direct rip-off of the SRT-4 packaging that Dodge was so successful at. GM is the Microsoft of the Car companies IMHO. Now little 17 year old Cobalt punks act just like the 17 year old SRT-4 punks. Thinking their car is the fastest evaaa! Most have some smarmy license plate about how they are boosted, fast, or faster than u! You can buy a decently fast Mustang for the price you pay for a Cobalt SS. I don't get why anyone would buy the SS over a Mustang. Other than gas reasons.

Anyhow, the interior on the Viper is dead-sexy. Especially being that the Viper isn't anywhere near a luxury car. I love the all blacked out look. It's one of the reasons I bought the GT I did (Dark grey is close enough :p )

It's VERY functional. Again, the car isn't a luxury car. It's all about function. And to me, function is a lot sexier than form.

vipers are sweeeeeeet!!! but i like the original the best with the side exhaust and no top, a true roadster

Honestly, Ive never been a fan of Corvettes...definitely respect them...but still not a fan.

Wow, looks pretty sweet. The interior has come a long way from the 95 RT/10 and 96 GTS days. Looks like the pedals have a little more space to.
