09 Jeep SRT-8

Well I finally got around to posting some pics. Had her for about 2 weeks now. It took a bit of calling around to find one as they are all sold out and probably won't be making any 2010 models. I finally located one of the last Black ones in the Country in Louisiana. Got the deal done and had her shipped down.

Must say this is a very sharp ride.

Some of the key features are the 6.1L Hemi Engine pushes out 420Hp/Torque, 4 Wheel Drive(will SNAP your neck on take off), Brembo Brakes Front and Rear (14.2" Rotors Front/13.8" Rear), 5 Speed Automatic,Bilstein Shocks, 20" Alcoa Forged Wheels (10" Wide Rear), and a sweet looking center exit exhaust.

The interior features are what really caught my eye. Upon receiving in it I was expecting a nice interior but Jeep definitely impressed me. The seats are Leather with Suede inserts. Just like the 03-04 Cobra. The sound system is quite impressive. You can hook up your Ipod or upload your songs to it's hard drive. Since I got the SRT High Performance Audio & Nav Option it includes 11 Speakers and a Kicker sub. LOL Let's just say it bumps pretty hard.

Other key interior features are the Rear Back up Camera, Rear DVD Entertainment, Heated Rear Seats, and my favorite Remote Start. It also have a feature to test your 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile...basically like a G-Tech. I'll have to see how accurate it is once I hit the track.

As for performance I will be adding a cold air kit, tune from Mr. Brooks, and a cat-back. Although Kenne Bell is working on a kit...so we'll see.

I plan on taking it to the track this week or next...see one kind of times we can crack with it. Below are some pictures I took, the color of the paint does not show well in these pictures. It's a Metallic Black which changes in the sun..pretty slick.

For being a combination of everything I don't like in the automotive world, I do really like those things. It's such a small thing, but if they didn't have 20s stock, I might be looking to trade in the Bronco on one.

What's wrong with the 20s? I think they compliment the jeep real good. You rather have 18s?

17s would be my preference. I can't stand the current fad for huge rims and the associated tire cost that goes with them.

Right.

17" tire prices are bad enough.

I think the 20's look about right on it. Anything else would look too small, plus they wouldn't clear those huge brakes. Those big ass SUV's handle pretty damn well too. I actually went and test drove a used JGC SRT-8 about 2 months ago and fell in love, I just couldn't justify another vehicle. Nice ride man.
