smoke/mist from ac

Ok guys this is kinda weird.

My moms 2008 Honda Accord V6.

this morning as we were on are way to work i happened to see smoke/mist coming from my moms center right air conditioner thing. (cant remember what its called.) Is this bad? Could it just be condensation?

I heard about a few things it could be and here they are:

Heater core (i dont think so because we have yet to use the heat just seat warmers)
something about an evap thermomitor. (idk wtf this is.)
some thing about a freon leak. (supposedly bad and smells sweet.)
my mom thinks it could be some filter that needs changed.

What is the best way to check what it is and stuff is it bad to ride with this happening.
