99 Durango, $7k - Good Deal?

ive been looking for a truck to deal with the snow and shitty weather when the stang doesnt want to come out and play..

i found a 99 durango for 7k.
i saw it, it looks like its in good condition, new shocks and a flowmaster exhaust on it.
is that a good deal? its got 116,000 miles on the clock though. dunno if thats a huge deal for that engine.. i think it was the magnumV8 but im not 100% sure. also i have to find out if its the 4WD version (otherwise i probably wont bother but stil maybe)

Unless it's something spectacular with a bunch of add-ons it's not worth more than 6k IMO. I'd pay about $4k for something like that at an auction (dealer wholesale).

thats what i thought. so that doesnt really change the value of the truck so much. is KBB that far off? i thought i saw it in there for 7-9k or so. ( so i thoght this was a good deal)

7-9k might be private party or retail, but no car ever sells for that unless it's on a car lot.

yeh it would be rwd unless you converted it, but;

7k for a beater truck just for bad weather + maybe tow? why not spend 2 and get a decent bronco w/4x4 and the rest of the money for upgrades or parts for the stang?
