putting water in radiator

my freinds 2000 chevy malibu is leaking mad coolant all over the place.

shes going to get it fixed soon but can she put water in it for now until she can get the leak found and fixed. shes putting so many gallons of that dex cool shit in her car and its getting to costly for her. can she just use destilled water in it for the time being with out ruining anything.

it depends on where you live.. if you live in san diego yes distilled water will be fine but if you live where it gets very cold you need the antifreeze.

and make sure to tell here not to put tap water in it.
it causes rust buildup

do you think she can put radiator stop leak in it for a few days or so.

the problem is the antifreeze doest go directly into the radiator like my 92 mustang and other cars do. it had a overflow tank type thing. shes needs to do something and cant do anything til she has off.
