Chances of winning!
hey i know someone who wants to race.. but i dont think my odds are on my side.. hes got a 68 Pontiac Lemans with a 454 Big block in it and i noticed his tires was like 20 inchs wide! my ranger is a 85 model and will have a 302 or a 351 i havent decided yet with like 10 - 15 inch wide tires..

if he does win it wont be by much or i will put a big block in my ranger |

as long as the tires are DOT approved they are legal.. he probably has 18 inches out back which are perfectly legal to run on the street

Naw man these are wider then 2 of the tires on a regular size pick up.. there fucking huge.. but i dout that 454 will have any problem spinning them i just dont know how he has his 454 biuld.. :/ my ranger should have a good chance with the right tires and right gears.. im just worried about it slipping to much because hell it dont weigh shit

well trow some sand bags in the back of your truck it makes some traction difference get the 351 and bore and blue print it and new exaust may give you a chance remember every 100 pounds is about a tenth in a quarter or prolly 25 hp

if i go about it right it might take me a little bit to get the stroker kit and have it put in.. im thinking about just taking the motor out of it for now and just fixing the truck up then when i get the motor blue printed and shit i can have it bored out and a stroker kit put in it with al lopey cam i know i love that sound haha and a performer intake by edelbrock and edelbrock carb and a tranmission i can find and have a SHIFT kit put in it.. what transmission should go with the Small blok 302 - 351?

And weighs how much? I think weight is going to be your biggest advantage. And regarding my earlier question (454 v. 455) I saw Pontiac, so I assumed it still had the Pontiac motor in it!
