Be careful with those second gen broncos my dad had one with a lot of problems but they are good with some mods.

Full size Broncos are awesome for just about everything except rock crawling. Bronco IIs are crap, and should all be crushed.

i like the full size broncos.. easy to lift, straight axle front so they are easy... try to grab a few dana60 axles & that thing will be unstoppable

Nope - Third gen broncos do NOT have straight axles. They went to TTB in 1980. Not a bad setup (about as strong as a Dana 44), but certainly not as easy to lift as a straight-axle would be. And I think the fourth gens went to a true IFS, though I wouldn't put money on that.

hmmm i stand corrected! i could have swore they had straights in the front.... my buddy just did a straight axle conversion on his 96 Z71 Chevy.. he did a dana 60 in front & 14 bolt in the rear... the thing is a monster, we have yet to get it stuck & we've been going in places that no full size should go!!!
