I've ridden several types of bikes and R6s didn't really do it for me. I have an 09' CBR1000rr that I love but a GSXR1000 would be my second choice, followed by and R1, then Ninja.
Get what your most comfortable on, sorry to hear about your luck! But at least your on your way back and that's the best feeling of them all.
