I'm Likley to be Buying a Chevy. (Check the Mod's List)

Well the deal with Mustang is that I'm taking my time with putting it together. The progress is going slower than what I thought it would. Also to add, the insurance isn't really practical for me at the moment. That said a vehicle is still needed.

It a little weird how this just so happened to work. When asked, by my dad, what I was looking for I told him an Older Chevy. The following day a Close friend of mine told me he was looking to sell his 1991 S10 Blazer before he goes off to Serve in the U.S Army. He bought this vehicle off another friend, who built this SUV,and since has put 5k miles (got it with 2k). It has a beautiful engine. The body is satisfactory. It's a vehicle I know from a person I trust.

1991 CHEVROLET S10 BLAZER
- 350 Small Block(358 CID) from 71' Monte Carlo
- LT1 Forged Internals
- Flat Top Light Weight Race Pistons CR (10.1) W/ Chrome Moly Rings
- Turbo 400 3spd/Auto w/3800 Stall
- B&M Shift Kit
- Ported/ Polished Heads.
- Stage 2 or Stage 3 Cam. (Not sure- The lift is about .502
- True Duel Exhaust with Flowmaster 40's
- All-Around Disk Breaks
- Rear end is from a 94' S10 Pickup w/ 4.10's
- Edelbrock 750cc Carburetor
- Serpentine Belt routing ( Not stock)
- Front Line Lock
- 4 Point Roll Bar (Willing to make 6 if I ask)

I'm sure there is more, but it's all I remember off the top of my head.

The thing looks and sounds good, get some pictures of the body I'm curious as to how this thing is sittin. So are you giving up on the stang? Or just buying this and garaging it? What is wrong with the car that it doesn't run?

One of my friends had a 92 2door blazer and it still had the 4.3L in it. Not too shabby of a vehicle but the problem is the stock suspension blows, any tough corners and you feel like you're going to roll, it really does lean a lot, and i'd imagine it being worse with that engine in it.

I had a 94 blazer with the vortec v6 in it. That motor was friggin AWESOME. The weak point was the tranny. But with proper mantainance, the tranny lasted. I would hope with the blazer that the OP's looking at that the friend he's buying it from did some suspension work to get it to haul ass.

Putting the Stang in the garage for quite awhile because of the insurance costs. In January of 2009 the oil pumps gears were shattered and as areasult the engine seized. Since then a shortblock was purchased, a project thats still in the process.

This is the route im looking to go now. It's a nice vehicle but unfortunaly with the high flow cams it has I won't ever see anything over the low teens in gas mileage even if i were to swapped out from the 4.10's to a 3.08. Fact is its a three speed and I already have my fast car.

The suppension set up gives this car no room for squat off the line. The builder Threw in a couple more leaf springs in the rear.
