Hey the new audi r8 is out.. how do you guys like it?? i think its retarted 317 foot pounds torque?? 420 horsepower but the torque off idle is like nothing for what it should be. They say 4.0 to 60 but we dont know if thats legit or not

i thought it was 4.6 0-60? its a pretty nasty car imo. i wouldn't race it.

yeah if they run 0-60 in 4.6, I will need something better than sumitomo streets, my car is listed as runnin 0-60 in 4.7 but I assume thats with a pro driver and drag radials or slicks

Well, the thing you have to look at regarding the hp vs. torques that motor is producing is the rpms. Max torque is at 4500, and max hp is at 7800. It's a rev motor, not a torque motor, we're only talking about 256 cubic inches. Besides, when have you ever seen a mid-engine car with gobs of off-idle torque?

I'm certainly not defending it, there's plenty of other cars I'd rather have for the money, even if I had to stick with Audi (S6 comes to mind).
