Need Help Here

i have a 2002 Mercury Cougar. The transmission went out, and i took it to a neighborhood guy who works on transmissions. Get the Transmission back, and it has a really high shift point from 1st to 2nd. and when it does shift it shifts HARD. Hooked it up to a computer to find out the problem. it said it had a tcm error. should i go take it to the ford dealership and get it flashed to factory settings? or should i be tearing the guy who rebuilt the tranny a new one?

Just go back to the guy to rebuilt the tranny and tell him what the problem is. Usually with something as large as a tranny build a warranty is offered.
