Good Bye 3V...Hello Gas Saver
Did the dirty deed, traded in my '06 GT Vert yesterday, got my wife a car for her birthday. Its a 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5SL, black on black, fully loaded, 26K miles, Bose, leather, heated seats, sunroof, bluetooth, sport shift...its a neat lil car, my favorite part is the 7 year/100K mile bumper to bumper warranty that was included all for the price of 19,997, thank youuu Mossy Nissan
Now questions, does anybody know where to find performance parts for this car or just aftermarket? Also it blows my mind how much quicker the hybrid was over the regular 2.5L...oh, and dont think im a saint now for turn my stang in for wifey, im gettin my hands on a 2003 Gt with a bad motor for $500 this weekend, I see many a good and long weekends ahead of me...Ill get off my pedestal now.

Don't let Carbon28 see this thread, he'll tell you how dumb you are.
In all seriousness, and don't take this the wrong way, but do they even make aftermarket/performance parts for those? If they do I can see them being pretty expensive if the supply is limited. I wouldn't be surprised if they make some cheap (read: ugly ass) body kits for them but that might be about it. I'm sure you can find some lowering springs and a CAI for them somewhere though. Maybe like Andy's Auto Sports or something like that. Best bet is to find a Nissan forum that has a section for that model and creep around on there.

They do make aftermarket parts for them, look up Altima Coupe parts, the 2.5 is quite the weak engine though, don't expect to really do much with it, once you do an intake and tune, exhaust, theres really not much else you can do. Also the rods in the 2.5 are extremely thin, sometimes they even snap on a stock motor, luckily you're covered for it, it takes BIG money to go F/I on a Nissan engine safely.

lol, trust me, im not trying to make this my supercar, thats what my '03 GT is gonna be
but just a few things like Miami mentioned, CAI, exhaust, etc. this is supposed to be my family cruiser/grocery getter, its alot easier to get my son out of his car seat with the Altima than my Stang. I just wanted to do a couple small things to personalize it...

Also expect to do oil changes more often than you would a mustang, I'd say about ever 2.5k miles, if you were gonna do full bolt ons, I'd do oil and cooling mods as well. Here's what Nismo has to offer: NISMO Performace Parts & Accessories - Subsection | Nissan USA but I'm sure if you find an altima coupe forum you'll have better luck.

Where is this so called "Carbon28", I should hunt him down and tell him how dumb he is first! Hah!...Catch him off-guard
Not but honestly is kinda funny, because the stang I just traded in, the guy who I bought it from was from Cedar Rapids, Iowa...Irony? I think so.

most bumper to bumper warrenties void when you do certain mods...make sure that an intake, exhaust, or tune will not void it...besides that enjoy it as a DD and drop some time and cash in the 03
