Truck guys, NEED TIRE INPUT

I have a 08 GMC 2500HD diesel truck that I use for work. I need to purchase some new tires before this winter. I'm having a hard time deciding what to get. I want something that can handle the snow and mud decently but have good tread life. I do about 80% road and 20% mild off-road driving. I need something to get around the winter and the woods.

I have considered Nitto Terra Grapplers

and BFG A/T KOs for replacements but the more i research and read reviews it seems I just hear good and bad about both tires.

I just want to know if you guys have had any experience with either of these two tires. My back-up choice are Michelin LTX A/T2,

I've purchased these tires before and they are a good tire but I would like to get something a little more agressive looking but still keeping decent tread life.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

the bfg is a good mileage/road tire, but i personally not a fan of them. i like the nitto's of course, prefer them over the bfg's personally. i used to run i think cooper discoverer on my old ram, i loved the hell out of them.

That BFG looks like it would suck balls in the snow. It'll just pack up, and you'll almost totally lose traction. Looks like a decent off-road tire, though.

The nitto might be better in the white stuff, but it's gonna be noisy as hell.

Honestly, I'd stick with the Michelin. "Aggressive looking" is an inane reason to buy a tire on a work truck. It looks like it'll work best in the snow, be the quietest, and have the longest service life.

the nitto is actually pretty damn quiet. the bfg's do ok in the snow, they will clean if you rotate them fast enough. they do suck ass in the mud tho. everyone of my buddies that ran them had clogging issue's in the mud, but sidewall is strong and do decent in the rocks.

Goodyear duratracs, they are quiet on road, and if you are going off road in the snow they are perfect.
Edit: The handle snow and ice on road like it's nothing. They clean out really quickly and the sipes do wonders for the ice.

Sierra Nevada snow seems to be a different animal from what you get in the rest of the country.

Thanks for all the input , I just can't seem to make up my mind. Might just be a last minute decision when I'm ordering the tires.

If you haven't order tires yet look into Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with kevlar ran those on ram 1500 with no problem though the Sierra Nevada snow and the mud around Vacaville, CA. Just another idea of tires if not my vote is the BFG's A/T KO or BFG Mud-terrian T/A KM2's

I put over 65k on Toyo open country a/t mostly highway with some mild off-road and pulling a trailer 40-50% of the time. Had two different sets and most expensive one was 700 something for 305/70/16, my 285/70 were only 600 something.
