so i was helping my buddy install a deck into his new tiburon the other day. everything went fairly smooth. a couple days later all of his interior lights cut out. all of them are non functional except the overhead lights. weve checked all the fuses and checked the wiring. The only thing i can think of is when i wired the adaptor to his deck to fit his wiring harness I accidentally crossed a wire I wired the orange and black to an orange and white is what i think he said. Would this cause the issue? If so wouldnt it correct itself after we redid the wiring?

just disconnect all those orange wires. you really dont need them unless he wants to control the decks illumination via the dimmer. The decks illumination will stay on all the time as it is works off of the h/u's power that it is recieving. So, just cut all the orange wires and then cap them off on both harness's.

And FYI, everything from harness to harness has to match the same exact wire
so orange/black to orange/black
orange/white to orange/white

also, make sure you check all the fuses cause I guarantee that one of them is blown. If you cant visibly see it then you may want to take a multimeter and test each one on each side individually. It will not correct itself by just disconnecting it cause you blew out a fuse. Check under the dash as well as under the hood.

havent gotten the time to check the wiring but now its throwing a CEL
