I REALLY hate when they do that, or when they want to try and question your purchases. In my RX-7s I use to always chunk a bottle of 2-cycle engine oil with a tank of gas. It's called premixing, and it works very well on rotary engines, especially if the OMP isn't working well, or just isn't working at all.

Anyway, every time I would buy some I would always get.

"Working on a boat or something?"

"No. It's for my RX-7."

"You can't put that in there! Are you crazy?! It'll mess your motor up!"

"Really? Do you know anything about rotary engines? Can you tell me something as simple as how many spark plugs a rotary engine has?"

".... No, but I know you can't do that..."

"It's my car, don't worry about."

HAHAHAHA, thats why they work at Autozone and not a legit Automotive repair shop. Most of them are young guys still in school or just out of school who used to work on there "beater" in the back yard. Lol

i would have hoped that people who choose to work at an auto parts store would at least know a little about cars and have some common sense, but i guess thats too much to ask.
