My current toy :)
Couple of people asked for some pics of my GTP/GTX so i thought i would make a thread in here, also a few updates a long the way as it's currently under the knife
![]() Car runs Mid to High 13's on street tires and 9lbs of boost. It now runs 12lbs, i just haven't had the time to make it to the track. Plus the car is parked for the winter. Should pull a low 13 or high 12 out of it. Not bad for a FWD V6 3600lb car ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Engine bay is filthy right now, but its under complete overhaul this winter. Blower is getting repainted, along with the valve covers are getting exchanged for some smooth ones and painting those as well and i'll most likely polish up my headers again and alternator. So I started working on it tonight.. I'm pretty high off fresh paint [ ] Decided it was a good time to pull everything apart and paint it motor wise since i had all the gaskets anyway and wanted to change it up since my last set up wasn't really original. So tonight i painted my blower, smooth front valve cover and fuse box cover for now, will be doing more soon come this weekend. Also came across something pretty bad... while pulling off my fuel rail, i noticed gas squirting out of the side... well, i found a pin hole leak at the corner of the rail and it could have started my car on fire! I got real lucky finding that now.. So come paycheck day, I'll be taking a trip down to ZZPerformance (local shop thats known nationwide for GTP's and Cobalts) and picking up some modded billet rails. So good thing the car is parked for the winter [ ] Now onto the pics, quality isnt the greatest as its from my phone, but you get the idea. BEFORE: Everything is black and silver.. ![]() ![]() AFTER: Started with a primer filler/sealer first... ![]() Then first coat of dark blue metalic.. ![]() Then hit the valve cover with blue AFTER putting on a few decals [ ]![]() Pealed the decals off and hit everything with clear.. ![]() ![]() Put the valve cover on after it dried... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Also remember when finished there wont be ugly ass fuel rails anymore, nice and powdercoated ZZP modded rails with one billet line going over the blower. I think it looks tits and original, not may people have this color combo so thats why i went with it. Might be a little to "out there" for some people, but i like it. I know there will be some haters, but i dont care, its my car ![]() By spring i'm hoping to have a cam swapped in and my new race trans put in and should be close to the 350whp mark and close to 11's... if not flat 12's with those mods. Car currently has 279whp but is getting closer to breaking the 300 again, not bad for a 3600lb V6.

Thanks guys! As for TQ #'s, i should be around the 320 at the wheels mark, if not a little more. Not really sure at this point. Also my GTP isn't the fastest out there of course, there are a ton out there with quite a bit more mods than me and most run 11's and such. Even a few in the 10's with a nice turbo set up. The company that builds these cars has an 8 second drag car.

Love the color, nice spoiler
SLP Gen 1 FTW. Cam, Intercooler, or Rockers? 3.2 is quite a leap without supporting mods haha.

Sweet. So what's all done to get that kind of performance?
My girl has an 04 Impalla SS with the supercharged V6 motor. It's a nice ride for such a heavy 4-door, but I wouldn't mind adding a bit more boost and making it a bit quicker. Nothing crazy, becuase it's her daily driver and she needs it to stay reliable. Any good sites you can shout out?

ZZPerformance.com , wbodystore.com , check out clubgp.com/newforum for some good info on them as well, 3800's are pretty much bullet proof and can handle a lot. Just have to mod them the right way and do it right the first time so you dont chip any pistons from adding KR.
I just have a basic headered, pulley swap, ported/polished blower set up right now, stock HP is 240 crank, right now im at around 360crank.
