2001 Volkswagon Beetle Turbo 2.0 engine

I am looking for ways to beef up my performance and power with cost in mind. Any Suggestions?

I know it is a wussie car but it is all I got and it is not to bad for a hand me down. It is already lowered with lo-pro tires. Please don't hate on this beetle cause it handles so much better than other beetles.

If you couldn't tell I am a newbie to this.

You only own a vdub and you joined up on a mustang forum for help?

Anyways, you should be able to get an ECU upgrade from APR. I dont know if they make one for the bug though...I know they make one for most of the the other 2.0T engines. Check out their website.

Also, trade in the VW for a Stang or GTFO! jk, but I would suggest joining a VW forum of some sort rather than a Mustang forum...Thats just me though

Go to APR.com. I use to have an 03 GTI 1.8T had pretty much Chip, Intake, Exhaust, and mbc. After said and done I only hit 220 fwhp. Then they had an APR Stage 3 kit for like 5k which would only give me 300 fwhp. VW parts are just too damn expensive to make your VW fast, so trade in the girly beetle and get yourself a better car.

I have an uncle with misc performance, but major thing for him was APR stage 3...embarrasses cobras
