Best FORD project car to get? (non-mustang)

I was thinking about starting a project car this next year and was thinking what would be the best car if you wanted to put a big block in.

I am a Ford guy so yea anyone have suggestions?

I was thinking a ford falcon any other good project cars out there?

why not a '67 or '68 stang? it'd be badass and you can drop a big block right in

if not, a falcon or galaxy would be badass too

Crown Vic or a Focus SVT.

I've always thought it'd be fun to throw a Whipple in a Vic.

Probe GT's are horrid projects...

The front end falls out from under them...The engines are ehh...Leave alot to be desired...

They are a very contrary contraption...

Me personally a old scholl XR-7 is the $hit...

You'd be half way to modding an import if you choose the Probe.

You could always go for the Fairlane Thunderbolt clone, that would be badass.

Ford focus since you can swap a v8 and make it RWD
87-88 lincoln LSC would make a killer sleeper
option 2 for the focus with a 3.0 duratec
heres the ultimate sleeper install a lincoln continental
4.6 4v and trans in a Windstar

a amc javalin or amx would be a really sweet car to do up, or you can make the ultamate sleeper and get a classic vw bug, take out the back seat and drop a monster v8 in, it woud have great traction and nobody including mustangs or porshes would know what hit them, cause regularly the cars only weighed about 1800 pounds, with a v8 i estemate the weight to be around 2200, but not more than 2500, it would be light and fast with great traction and be one of the easyest cars to work on, and with a chopped top and the old ford hood that some people put on them it would be badass looking to, or just keep the stock body for a sleeper.

sigh, i hate having to explain this to people, the cobra 427's were only replaced with the daytona coupe in the circuts because of the aerodynamics of it did not alow it to go above 200, the daytona coupe is basicaly just a cobra 427 with a different body on it, although it did have a few chassi mods to alow the seating area to be moved back further, otherwise the were the same car
