No I just have worked on a LOT of old cars, new cars, been around a lot for my age. Have worked on 1/2 million $$ hot rods, rock crawlers, desert racers, all the way down to golf carts and $300 shit cars. Never found anything I couldn't fix or build yet!

Put the fan shroud back for sure! You'll be over heating in not time!

PIC 1= High idle control, TOSS
Pic2=PCV breather, You can vent these to the air, doesn't need to be connected to anything, TOSS
Pic3=Vacuum control for helping choke operation, TOSS
Pic4=EGR, you can get ride of the whole thing, TOSS, just make sure you plug any exhaust ports it uses.
Pic5=Not 100% from the pic but looks like either cruise or what is called a dash pot, just keeps the throttle from slamming closed, TOSS
Pic6&7= appear to be vacuum valves, either to regulate it or make it a one way valve, TOSS both.

Again if you pull EVERY hose and vacuum related thing off, then put the one from the brake booster back, and one from the carb to the vacuum advance on the distributor that's all you need. Just those two, pug all the ports not being used and put some sort of breather on the PCV(s). You can also just run a piece of tube from them down to the frame so that all the oil mess it makes won't be up top.

alright here ya go! the track was wet as hell because of a downpour about 5 minutes before the derby started so it was a pain in the ass to get any speed. because of that the car has very little damage and ill be runnin it again on august 7th at a different derby

here are the after pictures, i have some shots of the car during the derby but not on the computer yet

heres the inside
