8.8 in a Javelin??

Yes... I know you Mustang guys have been beating these for years, and it has been a great rear end! Way stronger than the amc20 it came with. I have a 1968 AMC Javelin that I installed a 1995 Ford Explorer 8.8 into. It has disk brakes, 31 spline superior axles, a 4:10 gear and a mini spool. This is a street /strip car and I think the mini spool is on its way out. I would like to go to either a full spool, or a detroit locker. My question: is anyone running either of these with disk brakes, and what do you do with the emergency brake, with the c=clip eliminator kit? Please get me headed in the right direction.

Thx in advance...
