'94 Crown Vic tranny question

Ive got a cast iron 4.6 out of a 94 Crown Vic with the AOD tranny. Im putting the motor in my 1966 Ford F100 shortbed and im wanting to put a 5 speed behind the 4.6, but i read in my 4.6 book that the early cast 4.6s had a different bellhousing bolt pattern since all they offered with those engines was the AOD trans. How are they different? And could i bolt up a T5 or T56 with no problem?

Thanks in advance!
Trav

The '92 4.6L's had the old 3.8/5.0/5.8L bellhousing bolt pattern. If your 4.6L is from a '94, it has the regular modular bellhousing bolt pattern.
