Well, supposedly GM is bringing over the 4-door version of the Monaro - the Commodore as a Pontiac "G8". So, even if you don't get your LS2 GTO, you can wait 'til that comes out, and basically have a 4 door one instead.

Well a 12.9 quarter mile stock isn't too bad. No my GTO (probably shouldn't have mentioned I that I have one) doesn't run stock 12.9s. Hell my GTO will more then likely never see a track, But on DRs they can run 12.9 stock.

As for the comment on the G8 its supposed to get some 6.2L 362hp engine instead of the LS2 which is being retired.

GM just brought out the C6 with the LS2, why are they retiring it?

If you want to be technical it should say

words: they are, their and there

Contraction of they are: they're

:wink

Well there are released pictures of the LS3 which is the engine going into the base C7 430-435hp-ish.

Yeah stangs do feel faster than the GTO. The GTO is fast its just real deceptive. I know the other day I was driving I thought I was doing 50 and I look down and I'm doing a shade above 80. I jumped from a 127hp 170ftlbs car to the GTO so I feel the power perhaps more than someone who has had fast cars before. But after like day 4 I felt it needs to be faster. So it's mod time

With that said I love mustangs, I don't regret getting the GTO, but I need to make sure to get me a stang one of these days.
