my "new" 1979 ford F150

hey guys, havent posted in a while but i recently picked up a 1979 ford truck for $400. it had been sitting in a pasture for 2 years all i had to do was drop in a battery and some gas and she fired right up!

the truck already has a 3 inch lift and aftermarket wheels with 31 inch tires. its got a full time fourwheel drive transfer case and a 351M under the hood. the worst thing about the truck is that its a little rusty...but im not goin for looks, i wanted a cheap truck for muddin and fourwheeling and now i got one! ill try to get some pics up later today

i deffinately got lucky on this deal. everybody was tellin me it was a piece of shit that wouldnt run and not to buy it, well i proved em wrong!

That's exactly what everybody says when they see a car for sale under $1000. "Oh I bet it doesn't even start." Bah, there's no harm in looking and you can find some nice deals for well under $1000 if you don't mind a little rust/body damage or can fix simple things like ball joints, alternators, and batteries.

exactly! cheap doesnt always mean its crap. i bought the truck for 400 and i changed all the fluids and put in some new spark plugs and she runs great.

sweet deal bro here in ohio 4x4 trucks that are beet up sell for more then that looks good for 400 bucks looks like the tires are worth more then 400 lol

the tires look to be damn near new actually

i think im gonna order a rebuild kit for the carbeurator and a set of headers with my next paycheck

ok quick update. my dad used to have a maroon 78 f150 that he sold 7 years ago. i found it for sale recently so now im sellin the blue truck and buying the maroon one. mostly because the maroon truck is in alot better shape and i learned to drive in it when i was a kid and ive got alot of good memories with it.
