HELP! My Dads Truck is Broked.

Well, When you turn the Ignition ON and not the motor, The Dash Lights up, Kindof.

It Flickers like its shorted out somewhere, The Engine wont even try to start.

The battery guage when its in the "ON" position jumps from 0-1 maybe 2 back and forth, and it just seems like the whole dash is shorting out.

Problem solver, Come to my rescue so he doesnt have to drive my car!

Its a 2001 GMC Sanoma 4 Cylinder thats about all I know.

if the dash is flickering when you try and start it, sounds like the battery doesn't have enough juice in it. turn the headlights on, do they turn really dim when you turn the key forward?

do you hear any type of rapid clicking?

First I would check the battery voltage. Then I would check that the battery cables are connected tight to the battery w/out corrosion. Then I would check to make sure the battery cables are good.

If those don't work, I would check fuses and relays, and then break out the DMM.

I agree with these guys. The battery is probably shot.
