Any T/A enthusiasts here?

First, I am , and always have been, Blue Oval since I started driving way back in the 70's. But in the mid-70's the only cars getting more power were the Pontiacs, specifically Trans Ams. So I developed an infatuation with them that I still have to this day. My wife and I have owned literally dozens of them. I now have a 1981 Daytona 500 Pace Car factory turbocharged T/A. We are currently building a 1978 special edition T/A for my wife. And, yes, I find them and trailer them home behind a Ford! My 2004 V8 Explorer Limited with the 7000 lb tow package.

I like the older ones best, just for playing with. I'll keep my wife in a Mustang.

The 98-02 t/a ws6 is about the only car I would trade my stang for but more than likely I wouldnt trade it I would sell my t bird for change and get a t/a to play with. I raced one the other nigh with a full exhaust and I barley beat him only by like almost 2 carlenghts if I wasnt blown he woulda smoked the hell out of me.

I had a '79 T/A awhile back. It came with the 403 Olds motor, which I quickly replaced with a Pontiac 400. That is one car I will always miss.

They are awesome cars, but the 4th gen F-body's are a real pain to work on.

Here's my rotisseried '73 Formula 455 4-speed I sold back in the spring (dumb idea!)

My present driver: 1 of 2000 Daytona 500 Turbo Pace Cars

Still all numbers-matching and teh original Recaro interior.

And I am currently building a 1978 SE T/A for my wife as time/money allows.

I love the WS6's, my dad used to own a 76 Trans AM with a 455cu.in. engine, fun time but sold it when our family bought a house. Though i did heard that the WS6's are fuckers to work on, because 1/3 of the engine is under a sheet of metal/dash.

ws6's? ws6 is just a handling package. you could get a ws6 package in the 70's as well. what you are talking about is the 4th & 5th gens

Both of these have been featured in calenders (here are the calender pics) and the Nascar has been in High Performance Pontiac magazine.
