Just me n you huh?

I'm wanting that car bad. Got it all spec'd out and ready to order. Just have to convince hubby it's the right thing to do.

We owe less then $10k on both of our vehicles (total). I'd love to get them paid off as quickly as possible. Maybe get it ordered in December? We'll see.

Not putting $60-$70 worth of gas in Vivian every week will help! Sales lady said those are getting between 35-40 mpg average (people are telling her). Seems like a no brainer to me.

Yeah, people over on focaljet.com are getting over 40mpg in some cases. A few people have recorded 40-42mpg highway.

Have you thought about a Focus ST Ecoboost? They're supposed to be hitting the market this fall. 250hp/250tq, 6 speed, and still 35+mpg.

Unless it's an automatic transmission - can't drive a stick. Long story. lol

Give me one for lower $20k and I'll take it. If I'm going to pay upper $20k for a 4 door vehicle, I'm going w/ the new Taurus.

True that! Well by what RDY4WAR said, the focus will have the same concept, but I'm sure just a different motor and probably different turbo's. Direct Injection Ecoboost whaat whaat!! LOL

The new 2012 Focus ST Ecoboost with have a turbocharged 2.0L with direct injection and 6speed GETRAG. It's tuned down from the factory to hold a flat torque curve from 2500-5000rpm. It then holds a flat hp curve up past 7000rpm. I can't wait for it to come out. Ecoboost daily driver would be sweet!

Not sure I want to wait until January to order a stick shift car that I'm not even sure I'd be able to drive.

I'd be thrilled with that Titanium anyway. It's got a sport mode too - could probably learn to do that one…

If I want muscle, I'll still have Viv.

Right on! What's funny about the 2012 Focus is all manual models have factory launch control. lol It has a ~4500rpm 2-step from Ford. lol That's not even the ST models.

Sorry, it has a factory stall basically. You can stall it, get the rpm up, and launch it.

Ahhh got it. Well that's certainly interesting. Going to try to take him in tomorrow to drive the one they have. They don't have the titanium but they did find one for me if I want it or maybe just order one.

Hate the thought of buying a brand new car - but think it's a pretty good price and if I don't plan on getting rid of it in 5 years, then should be good. Yeah??
