Evo VIII (vs) Evo X

Hey every1 (im new)

Aight so I'm getting an Evo, i know that the evo x is coming out in early 08. I was wondering if any1 had the stats for the new X so i can compare. I want the performance of the VIII but i just wanted to make sure the X wasn't gonna be better first. Any1 know?

thanks

The biggest thing about the Evo X is that the USDM model will finally be getting all the fancy yaw control stuff, allowing you to drive like a moron and come out smelling like a rose.

If you have the money to burn, the X will be faster and easier to drive. But it will also be heavier, and more hands off due to all the driver aids.

My money would be on the VIII, cheaper, more "true sports car", less fancy wizbang gizmos.

But you probably shouldn't listen to me, I'd rather have a WRX

Don't worry Chris, I'm here

Listen up brah, if you're still here, heads up: I had a VIII and a buddy had a XI.

Question tho: Why you skippin from 8 to 10? What about the IX? It has a variable center diff(tarmac, gravel, snow) MIVEC, and a "better", haha, PCM than the VIII. Also has a different turbo capable of faster spool up and has more TQ than an 8. More PSI from the factory. Free-er flowing down-pipe and slightly better ex. manifold flow rate.

The MR is a stud. Close ratio 6spd, Bilstein dampers right from Mitsu, and the all important cab-mounted "Vortex Generators" lol.

Whatever you do, replace the clutch. Its a piece of shit. Buy a nice ACT. Better yet, buy the one I got for my Evo. Its sitting in my garage. Car was stolen before I got the clutch in it. Seriously, the stocker is a dud.

Go to the members list and find Mellon. He tunes them fuckers

the one part that sucks on WRX's are the motor mounts. People are tearing them up left and right.

Don't forget about the "glass" transmission in the base WRX. The STi has a MUCH better gearbox.
