Idle control
Have a 1987 ford exp and having trouble setting the base idle. Was told to diconect the idle control and the small plug on the distributer. Start engine and set the idle to 600 then bring back to 800. then shut off engine and plug in the idle control and the small plug on the distributer. trouble is could not find a small plug on the ditributer. any help would realy be a help thanks

If you are talking about the timing shunt it is in the wiring very near the distributor. It is not on the distributor.
