Need car buying help... AWD/Termi

I'll soon have quite a bit of money coming in soon. I plan on upgrading big time. This car will be for sale and I'll get something else. I'm considering a few options now. The first would of course be a Termi in white, grey, or silver. I'm also looking at a few others. If I go outside of USDM, it will be an AWD boosted car stock. I'm thinking a WRX, an Audi S4, and an EVO. Can anyone give me the downfalls of each? The major downfall of buying anything like an Audi something that isn't a Ford, I wouldn't know anything about working on them. I've rode in an EVO and a WRX and man did I have fun... I think I'd really like the WRX in the winter around here.

Help anyone?

How about a Newer Cobra?

If i were to have to choose a non-Mustang WRX is the way to go.

Wrx has always been my second choice outside of any Ford, seems like a lot of the older ones 02-03 & 04-05 have head gasket problems and also make sure you get a catless up pipe as one of the first mods cuz they are know for rotting out and what not and they then destroy the turbo. But with that being said they seem to be great cars since most of the older ones have near 200k on them, i dont know much about the other two other than the audi probably will cost the most to maintain and Im pretty sure the audi and wrx use differnt awd platforms not that it matters just something to look into if u build it

I like the idea of something other than a Cobra... That WRX can corner like a SOB! I don't really want to pay for the STI price but I have heard that any WRX will need a tranny swap from the STI's. The guy told me last night that the 2.0 is stronger than the 2.5, sounds crazy. He had an upgraded engine and a OEM turbo, that sucker flew!

Wrx is deffinitly sick car i test drove an 02 and loved it but couldnt bring myself to pay the $ they were asking for the amount of miles it had, and the STI interior is pretty badass. I would deffinitly go with a subaru and 04-05 sti can be found in my area for 16-18k and an evo also a sweet car but they usually cost a little more and i dont think the interior is as nice or as optioned. I dont really care for the s4 I like the older body ones like the 2000 I think they go for like 8-10k in that year range my friends bf has a 2000 and he loves it but he has told me he has to be anal about maintenance and he says the 2.8 biturbo is way better than the v8 model

WRX wagon easy.

Unless you are dead set on Mustang, then cobra or a new 5.0.

I'd like to get into a WRX honestly

We have bad winters only because people around here don't know how to drive in it.

okay so lets take it from someone whom has built almost all those cars except a cobra.

wrx- they are a bottleneck car, at 400 wheel they stop making power till they are built, they have headgasket issues, trannies suck, transfercase will blow eventually, cheesy interior. parts get pricey.

evo, can easily make 550 wheel all day safely. gt35 that bitch with some meth and your set. they look great, have amazing brakes and suspension. try to find an MR for the better transmission and interior and also suspension. only issue is transfercases and whining. have the infamous 4g63T.

s4, great car stock, shit will break like control arms and bushings go, they either die at 100k or last to 250k, Ive have one with 312k lol. parts are expensive and they also dont make too much thats affordable.

Sounds like either the EVO or Cobra from what your saying... The MR pricing is EXPENSIVE!!! I don't really know if I want to spend that kind of money to be honest. A ok Cobra can be had for 20k easy. That EVO is going for 30ish and it was made 3 years ago!

Cobra makes the power just as easy as the evolution will. Have you looked for an evolution 8

SVT, your car already has tons of suspension work. Why not continue building what you've got? Go for a powerful motor, finish out any suspension work you can still do, and drop some weight. "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."

But if you're looking for a change, I like the WRX sti special edition.

Ok... I'll break that question down for you. I want some things for the car. I want a new front end, new rear, side skirts, mirrors, decklid/wing, & hood all off of a Termi. That will cost quite a bit might I add. The paint also looks like shit and NEEDS a paint job. BIG TIME! I don't have A/C, and after the past Summer I had in Texas (almost reached 100 days of it being 100+), I NEED A/C. Then you factor in power adders to at least make the car perform at the Cobra's level. After all of that is said, done, and the car is absolutely beautiful, it will still have a salvaged title. I think I'll pass on this GT, save a shit ton of money, and have a nice, stock car listed above.
