2004 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCab 4x4

Just bought the 4x4 last week! I love it so far.

I had it at my shop where I get work done on the Stang so they could give the truck a good once-over before I bought it. I was asking them about dual exhaust and the guys there said there are enough cats so that I can just remove the muffler and it will sound pretty beastly.

I took the muffler off the next day and it sounds great! Been driving it around for a week now like this, and I love it. I was surprised, it doesn't sound crappy like I thought it would. It sounds like I have a nice aftermarket exhaust system lol.

Anyone know if taking the muffler off will affect hp, torque, gas mileage, etc? The owner of my dyno shop said it might take away a little bit of torque but thats it.

As far as I know it would be like taking the cats off a mustang...Only in alot smaller scale...If anything like your dyno shop said you might lose a tad bit of torque but I doubt you will notice it...A Kenne Belle would clear that right up bro...j/k
