I lived in Oakdale and Burnsville (MN) before Miaimi. I picked up a nice little Explorer Sport to handle the snow duty. Great price, ok MPG and did amazing all Winter long for me. You can find them in your price range all day long up there.

RDY - your brown beast must need a tune-up.... I had an early 3rd-gen with the 351 HO and C6 that ran pig rich and it got at least 10.

The carb needs replacing bad but I just haven't gotten around to it. It has new plugs, new distributor, FRPP 9mm wires, new hot box, new air filter, and new fuel pump and fuel filter. I MIGHT get 8mpg around town... maybe... Mine is the 351W with C6 also. It's down on power a bit also and a bit sluggish. I'm thinking a new carb, edlebrock intake manifold, and a good exhaust (OEM Cat HAS to be clogged) should wake it up a bit.

I'd check the timing set on it - that's what finally put mine in the junkyard (it went the day before I moved ~300 miles away).
Also, if it still has the Y-pipe cat, ditch it if you can, those things are notoriously restrictive.

Timing is at 12*
Yeah, it has the stock Y pipe cat. I plan to ditch it and run 2 2.25" pipes from the headers into one 3" pipe, with one flowmaster 40 (3" in, 3" out) and separate back into two 2.25" pipes with dual tips out the back. I want to keep some back pressure as I want this thing for towing and want the low end torque to be there.
