'02 Explorer Fuel gage AFU?
I made the mistake of letting a friend borrow my explorer a few nights last week to go to work. in the span of 2 nights, almost 3/4 of a tank disappeared. i can get to NY on about a tank, so i know either he was fucking me and doing something else with my car or something is really wrong. on friday my wife goes to gas the truck up and fills the tank, but the fuel gage was only showing 1/4 tank. by the time she got home the gage was reading 1/2 full, but i know the tank is full. just want to hear some opinions before i go tearing my fuel system apart.

well the gauge for one thing is problably no good, or the realy or fuse could be no good as well

gas level is slowly increasing as indicated by the gage. the more bumps i drive over, the higher fuel level gets, so i'm thinking the float is stuck or crapped up. i'm gonna wait till the tank's almost empty, then throw some fuel system cleaner and fill the tank again

Sending unit is dead. Pending year, you can buy just the sending unit. Some are only availaible with a new pump attached. Those bastards are pricey...
