2001 dodge ram uca problems (video)


If my steering wheel is locked all the way to the left, then i turn it to the right, the left uca moves as you can see in the video. it makes a loud thump too.

it pulls apart at full lock, then snaps back when the wheel is straightening up.

Does anyone know why it is doing this? is the bolt broke that is on the side that is moving? im not sure if it is even supposed to go thru the uca or not?any help would be great!

Also, I'm not sure if it is related or not, but when I press the brakes semi firmly, the steering wheel jerks to the left until I let off the brakes. This started happening about the same time I started hearing the thump noise.
