1970s VW Bus

Anyone here into the 1970s VW Bus scene?
Just looking for a nice VW bus I can slam, gut the interior and remodel the way I want to. I may also chop it, but that depends (I'm pretty tall and need the extra head room). I like the 21 window bus but the full panel side would be fiine. Anyone know of a bus in their area that maybe for sale? I'm willing to knock off the rust etc. and complete the entire build from scratch. If you help me find the perfect bus there will be a finder's fee in it for you.

I once took a VW bus and cut it in half. It measured 20in's from the inside of the front tire to the inside of the rear tire. It bust u-turns like you wouldnt believe.

I'm seriously surprised that a forum full of car lovers have no projects other than Mustangs. So there are no classic truck lovers, no VW bug drivers, you're not out there drag racing Camaros...nothing but Mustangs? depressing

I'm a fan of the VW Bus, I almost bought a late 80's one a couple years ago. There was a shop near me that had at least 3 sitting in the lot but they have since moved/closed down

I do have one!

Under the last picture you can see where the cracked oil pan leaked all the fluids out.. Its in the shop now "supposedly" getting fixed. 1200$ later and 3 moths later its still at the shop not done.:rollseyes:

The paint is only ~1year old, the engine brand new. The only thing thats bad about it is everything on the inside is out dated.

As you can see in the pictures I was in the process of ripping the curtains out.

ALSO OP IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A VW CHECK OUT THIS SITE! Where we found ours for 1000$. Only 2200$ invested in her

Thanks, its a project. It has about 2200$ into it now but Im hoping to sell it for ~4k.

My uncle had one that he kept in storage for 10 years, he took it out and took it home one day and that night a tree fell on it :/ lol
