2000 mirage...

My first import... guide me on what mods to get.

The motor got me all confused all seem like hidden and shit.

Does this car have potential?

a mirage??? which motor? i dont think there is much of an aftermarket for them.

cai, p&p work, cat back, and a 65 shot n2o. that sould make it run around 15 flat or so in the 1/4. or you can save the money from mods and the gas it saves to put into your mustang.

swap in an I4 from a galant or eclipse

thats a major power boost right there, cuz the mirage's engine is tiny

but its such a light car, 5hp to u is like 15hp to the fatties ^^^

parts will be hard to find tho if u dont engine swap, so jus look for things that are interchangeable.. who knows? u might find some eclipse parts that fit ur mirage..

i kno that the galant and mirage are very closely related, and the galant uses some of the engine parts from the eclipse.. so yea lol

jus take the damn joke!

anyways, if ur lookin for displacement, u can get a 4g64 out of a galant or eclipse.. thought the eclipses got turbos, they're 2.4L

As far as I know the Eclipses were 2.0L 4g63s. Some were turbos some weren't.

The EVO line had 4g63s, just updated by Mitsu.

nope the new eclipses, like 99 and up are 2.4s.. my friend got a galant and when he gets his parts, he looks for eclipse engines..

and yea only some were turbos, obviously

Oops. I was talking about the older ones. Neglected to mention that, didn't I?

The newer ones are 2.4, and I think the GTs are 3.0 V6s, but didn't come with a turbo.

but they kick ass more once u do turbo them, so if thats wut u got planned.. lol

then again, i dont think a V6 wud fit in a mirage, unless its a 4-door, those coupes are so tiny!

yes the 00-05 eclipse gt comes with the 4g72 v6. i am doing a motor build on one right now. it is beating the turbo and supercharger guys on the club 3g forums. if doing a motor swap, the 4g63 is the better motor. or if you wanna be different, a terminator swap
