1994 Honda Accord

Hey guys,

Just wanted to see if anyone knew what might be happening with my wifes car.

If she drives somewhere and turns the car off, she has to wait a little while before it will start again. Today she went to the post office and was in there for maybe 3 minutes and the car wouldn't start. She had to wait a little bit before it would start again.

Also, if it is hot out like it was last week (maybe 93-100 degrees) the car won't start.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

sound like the fuel pump. does it sound like it primes before she tries to start it? it may be getting hot and not wanting to work after it shuts off till it cools down.

Won't start as in it wont turn the starter or it will turn but not catch spark/fuel? Those F22b2 or 1's(V-tech or non) are notorious for thier starter soleniods to get over heated being too close to the exhaust manifold and upper coolant hose. It is about time for a new starter if that is the case and do yourself a favor and buy some heat wrap for the starter to keep it from happening again.

it would turn over, just not start. good call sweet. it was some controller for the fuel pump that had gone bad. $200 later and it is fixed. just in time to get her a new car.
