Tire, Alignment, and Wheel Bearing Problems!!!

I bought a set of Kumho tires at the end of June. I had an alignment at the same time. When I left the shop, I had a rumble in my tires. I was told that the tires were new and that the quality wasn't as good as other tires and that I would have a slight rumble in them. I went back the other day and had the guy ride with me down the road and he said it sounded like a wheel bearing going bad in my right front. How can a wheel bearing go bad while it sits at the shop? He took my front right off and the inside of the tire is wore. He said the wheel bearing going bad can sometimes cause the alignment to go out. When I turn my tire to the right the rumble isn't as bad. Does anybody have any ideas what could be wrong? I think it is either the tire or the alignment job they did at the end of June.

Its not aligned thats for sure, if it wobbles at certain speeds, then the wheels need to be balanced

get it aligned first before anything else

There are a number of possibilities to check out here.

Bad wheel bearing as mentioned.

Balance, as mentioned.

However, since by your post it seems that you are saying the car had no issues before getting new tires, my money is on one of two things.

1. You have gotten a bad tire with a broken belt in it. Look for bumps along the sidewall of the tire. Although you can have a broken belt in the tire and not have it visible.

2. They either didn't balance them properly, or they messed something up on your car, be it the alignment, the balancing, or something mechanically. There is no way that from June to now those tires should be wearing unevenly if the car had new tires, and was aligned & balanced properly.

Try going to another tire shop or shop that does alignments, and tell them what you have going on and how you should approach it.
