Opions on 1988 Lotus Espirt Twin Turbo


Trying save up this winter to get one next summer, what are all of your thoughts?

Dont know much bout that car but I hope you savin up a shit load of money or its got extremely high miles. Why do you want to get it? Keep in mind repairs are gonna take an overseas bank to pay for the fix.

work for family, make $10 an hour not hella, but i dont pay rent or anything just gas right now.

I have found some 88s for 15grand, so im lookin to get 10k and get a loan on 5k of it to pay off.

Ive been lookin online at ebay magizines car sites and they seem to go 12-19k for an 88 twin

I will also be selling my stang if I get close to the 10

hope you aren't gonna trade your mustang for it.. those things are very impractical, and the only one i have ever seen in real life, was broken down on the side of the road.. typical european high maintence pos

Were would you take it if it broke down how would you get parts at a pratical price did you think about any of that

if it broke down i had 2 ideas, the place i usaully go or ask my uncle who works at a porche dealership. I also will have him cehck out the car with me

I would save about 5-6k and try for 5k on my mustang for the lotus

You should prolly think this through a lil more...maitenance and repair will prolly cost you as much as the car.

Really, I figured maintenice shouldnt be to bad, a little more but not horrible

and repair, i guess is a lot more, but wasnt thinkin i woul dneed to repair things

like breaks and all that, i mean i might have to redo the turbo after a year or 2
