welcome to the forums mr. mopar.

I would go with a different motor to be honest.

the 440 of that year only has around 350 HP.

your better off swaping in a 03-04 Cobra motor or if you want to be different a ls1 or ls2 motor.

thanks. I really want that big block torque. I looked up the VIN and its actually from a '69 Charger. that was rated at 375 horses with a four barrel carb and at 390 horses if equipped witha Six Pack. I also happen to have a 440 sitting in my shop at the moment. I was just wandering if there was any place i could get some of the parts i will need to fit the big block in there or if i will have to custom fab everything myself?

I'll have to see when I can get around to getting the swap done...it may be anywhere from late december to late february depending on my schedule and a few other things. Keep in touch, I'll keep you posted. do you want to know anything about it?

440 is a good engine, but personally i would use a 426 hemi. Better engine imo, but there is noting wrong with a 440. Good luck, and welcome to the site.
