91 ranger

alright so my beater is giving me a problem again in the mornings cold i let it warm up while i get ready for work abour 10minutes and then on the way to work it take's about 15minutes before i start getting any kind of heat and its just alittle warm.. is this the thermostat?? a friend of mine said he had a 91 ranger and his was the same even after he changed the thermostat.. could it be the heater core??
